The company has officially confirmed the launch date for the Vivo X100 series, which will take place on November 13 in China. This launch is eagerly anticipated by smartphone enthusiasts around the world.

Ahead of its official launch, the base model in the Vivo X100 series, the Vivo X100, has made a notable appearance on the popular benchmarking platform, Geekbench. Furthermore, in terms of processing capabilities, the Vivo X100 is listed with a motherboard codenamed “k6989v1_64,” based on the ARMv8 architecture. This motherboard houses an octa-core System-on-Chip (SoC) with four cores running at 2GHz, three cores operating at 2.85GHz, and a single high-performance core clocked at 3.25GHz.

This powerful processor is none other than the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 flagship-grade SoC, which is expected to deliver exceptional performance. The Dimensity 9300 will be complemented by a Mali-G720-Immortalis MC12 GPU for graphics processing. Additionally, the listing has confirmed that the Vivo X100 will be equipped with 12GB of RAM, although it is likely that there will be multiple RAM and storage options available to consumers.

Recent leaks have also provided insights into the Vivo X100’s camera setup. It is reported that the smartphone will feature a triple rear camera system, headlined by Sony’s IMX920 as the primary sensor with an f/1.57 aperture. Accompanying this primary sensor will be a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 wide-angle lens with a focal length of 15mm and an OmniVision OV64B periscope macro lens with an f/2.57 aperture, providing 3x optical zoom capabilities. Additionally, the Vivo X100 is expected to support rapid charging with a 120W fast charging feature, and it may offer up to 16GB of RAM and other exciting features.

In addition to the standard Vivo X100, the company is also expected to introduce the Vivo X100 Pro and the Vivo Watch 3 during the November 13 event in China. Given Vivo’s track record, it is likely that a top-of-the-line flagship variant, the Vivo X100 Pro Plus, could be unveiled in 2024.

While the initial launch will take place in China in November, global and India launches are expected to follow, potentially occurring towards the end of 2023 or early in 2024.
