This tasty Caramel Apple Pecan Cobbler is loaded with caramel, pecans, and sweetness, that’s for sure, and a ton of tender apples! If you like a lot of juices in your cobbler, just add a couple more apples. You can also cut the topping recipe in half. That’s one of the best parts of a delicious tasting cobbler, so I wouldn’t recommend that unless you want to make a smaller cobbler.
Ingredients
- For the Apple Filling
- 9 apples, peel, core and slice (I used Granny Smith)
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp corn starch
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- For the Caramel Sauce
- ¾ cups butter, 1½ sticks
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- For the topping
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 stick butter, cut into small pieces
- 2/3 cup boiling water
- Additional topping
- 3 Tbs sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
