Christmas Chex party mix recipe

This Christmas Chex party mix recipe is very tasty. The family loved and enjoyed it during the Christmas family gathering. Also, awesome treat when watching Christmas flicks!

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 Cups Corn Chex or Rice Chex cereal
  • 1 Cup miniature marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup mini pretzel twists
  • 7.5 oz vanilla candy coating (you can use Almond Bark Brand)
  • 1.5 Tbsp holiday-colored sprinkles or nonpareils
  • 1/8 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup of holiday-colored candy-coated chocolate candies

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 ) Cover a large cookie sheet with waxed paper and set aside. Then mix cereal, marshmallows, and pretzels in a large bowl.

2 ) In a microwavable bowl, microwave candy coating uncovered on High for a minute to 1 minute and 30 seconds, stirring after 60 seconds, until almost melted. Stir until smooth. Pour onto cereal mixture; mix well.

3 ) Spread on cookie sheet; sprinkle with holiday sprinkles, and cool completely about 15 minutes. Break into bite-size pieces.

4 ) In a 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag, add coated cereal pieces and powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake to coat. Remove from bag; discard any remaining powdered sugar.

5 ) In a large serving bowl, mix coated cereal mixture and chocolate candies and enjoy!

Tips: You can double the recipe and store it in a covered container at room temperature.
