Coconut Custard Pie Topped with Chocolate

Coconut Custard Pie

The easiest pie you will ever bake! It magically forms its own crust plus two delicious layers while baking. This pie seems to have originated in the 70s at least that’s when my mom used to start making it, and how it got its name no one seems to know.

Some people say it’s because this is impossibly easy to make, and some people say it’s because it’s kind of impossible how you can make such a simple batter, and when you put it in the oven, you get three layers. Either way, it doesn’t really matter. For me all I know is, it’s really easy to make and it tastes great.

Coconut Custard Pie

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 ) Preheat oven to 350F.

2 ) Add all ingredients to a large bowl and beat together until combined.

3 ) Pour into a 9-inch greased pie pan. Bake for 1 hour or until center is firm and pie is golden.

4 ) Cool on a cooling rack and then put in the fridge until ready to serve. I recommend waiting a few hours so the pie has a chance to firm up.

5 ) Top your pie with melted chocolate. Actually this step is optional But if you like chocolate, definitely you should try this. 🙂
