In the latest wave of technology nostalgia, audiophile brand FiiO has announced the launch of the DM13, a modern take on the classic portable CD player. This follows recent revivals of other retro tech favorites such as the iPod and Tamagotchis.
The FiiO DM13 brings contemporary features to the beloved device, including high-fidelity wireless capabilities and a built-in rechargeable battery, eliminating the need for AA batteries. Priced at $179 in the US and £179 in the UK, the DM13 will be available for purchase starting in September.
Initially, the DM13 will be offered in a sleek silver finish, with additional color options—red, blue, titanium, and black—set to release later in the year. This gives enthusiasts plenty of time to dust off their old NOW compilation CDs and enjoy the classic experience with modern convenience.
