Rumor: Apple to equip iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max with larger displays

The smartphone industry has been dominated by a race towards larger and more immersive displays in recent years. In line with this trend, respected display industry analyst, @DSCCRoss, has revealed that Apple is planning to equip its upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models with larger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively.

While this news has not been officially confirmed by Apple, the company has been gradually increasing the screen sizes of its flagship iPhone models with each new release. The current iPhone 13 Pro Max features a 6.7-inch display, which is already on the larger end of the spectrum, but these rumored increases could push Apple’s flagship models to new heights.

This move towards larger displays aligns with the trend in the smartphone market towards bigger screens, which offer improved viewing experiences for video streaming, gaming, and other multimedia applications. The larger displays also allow for more efficient multitasking, enabling users to open multiple apps simultaneously and view content side by side.

Apple has always been known for its commitment to design and aesthetics, so it will be interesting to see how the company approaches the challenge of incorporating even larger displays into its flagship devices. The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are not expected to be announced until September 2023, but the rumored display size increase is already generating buzz and anticipation among Apple enthusiasts and industry insiders alike.

As the smartphone market continues to evolve, it will be fascinating to see how the balance between functionality, design, and form factor plays out. While Apple is known for its innovation and commitment to user experience, it will be interesting to see how the company adapts to the growing demand for larger screens while maintaining its signature style and appeal.
