This old fashioned chili recipe is very simple and easy to make. I’ve been using this recipe for a very very long time; only because it’s like my basic go-to. I do make other variations of chili, like vegetarian chili, turkey chili, but this is just my basic recipe and I figured I’d share it with you.

INGREDIENTS:
- 2 lbs Ground Beef
- 1/4 cup Green Bell Pepper
- 1/4 cup Red Bell Pepper
- 1 Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 2 stalks Celery
- 1-14.5oz can Diced Tomatoes
- 1-6oz Tomato Paste
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1 Jalapeno Pepper
- 1-15oz can Chili Beans
- 1-15oz can Kidney Beans
- 1 Tbsp Chili Powder
- 1/2 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 2-1/2 tsps Salt
- 2-1/2 tsps Black Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS:
1 ) In a frying pan season the ground beef with 1-1/2 tsps of salt and 1-1/2 tsp of pepper and brown for 6 minutes. After 6 minutes drain off the fat then set ground beef aside for later.
2 ) In a separate pan add the olive oil and saute the onion, celery, red pepper, green pepper, and jalapeno pepper for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes add the ground beef, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, and beef broth.
3 ) Add the garlic, cumin, oregano, chili powder, 1tsp salt, 1tsp pepper and mix well. Lastly, add the chili beans and kidney beans mix and cover.
4 ) Allow it to cook on low heat for 2 hours stirring occasionally. After 2 hours remove from heat and serve.
